This shoot became an important milestone for me: it was my first time working at Club 12 and my first time collaborating closely with Arkany, who had invited me as their guest photographer. The concert brought together two generations of the metal scene: the young, energetic Arkany from Novovoronezh and the seasoned Moscow veterans Arteriya.
Arkany formed in August 2020. Their music blends metal with progressive, ethnic, and ambient touches, featuring clean vocals and an alternative sound that defies easy genre labels. The lineup includes Anna Tulinova (vocals), Sergei Burmistrov (bass), Alexei Semyonov and Sergei Telkov (guitars), and Sergei Polozkov (drums). In 2025, the band became first-degree laureates of a major creative competition. Its members are employees of the Novovoronezh Nuclear Power Plant who find time for music between shifts.
The headliner of the evening was Arteriya — a project founded by Sergei Terentiev, former guitarist of the legendary Russian bands Aria and Kipelov, active since 2003. Their heavy metal, infused with industrial and progressive elements, was a fitting finale to an evening where legend met youth, experience met fresh drive.
