Voronezh’s Club 12 once again hosted a hurricane. Six guys took the stage, and from the very first note, the room became one living organism. Gosha Gerasimov and Yura Dubolazov tore through the space with two voices, guitarists Mikhail Belimovich and Sergei Molodozhenov cut through the darkness with their riffs, Andrei Sergeev held down a powerful bass, and Maxim Levakhin drove the rhythm on drums while adding backing vocals. Light, smoke, familiar Korol i Shut (King and Jester) lines that the crowd sang along to.
“Menshe Tryopa!” is a Voronezh-based cover band that turns the hits of the legendary punk collective into their own statement. Respect for the originals sits side by side with boldness, and classic riffs get wrapped in a fresh groove. Each of the six on stage is part of one explosive machine that never stops running.
